  • Role Overview:

    We are seeking to recruit a Senior Payroll Administrator to be responsible for running both weekly and monthly payrolls.  The primary focus of this role will be to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with statutory regulations and providing guidance to Payroll Administrators. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll legislation, attention to detail and the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios. You will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy and providing exceptional service to our employees.

    This is a permanent position reporting to the Head of Payroll.

    Key Duties:

    • Running weekly (950 employees) and monthly (500 employees) payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of processing and payments.
    • Review and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions.
    • Calculate and process statutory deductions, including income tax, national insurance contributions and pension contributions.
    • Maintaining and updating accurate employee records.
    • Remain updated with payroll legislation and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
    • Conduct payroll audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Understand the timesheet processes and complex pay structures.
    • Handle payroll related enquiries from employees.
    • Supervise and develop Payroll Administrators.
    • Producing payroll reports for internal use.

    What we are looking for:

    • Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Administrator or similar role.
    • Experience of running a high volume payroll.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle different payroll cycles and deadlines.
    • Knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
    • Previous experience of managing a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to address employee queries.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
