Job Title: Parts Advisor
Salary: Up to 34k per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30-16:30

We are seeking a Parts Advisor to join our busy BCA Kingsnorth operation. Reporting directly to the Parts Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of parts and consumables across the workshop. Your responsibilities will include sourcing and ordering required parts, managing stock levels, and accurately storing and issuing components to support daily workshop activity.
This position is well suited to someone with previous experience in stock control or parts administration, who thrives in a fast‑paced automotive environment and takes pride in delivering organised, reliable support.
Main purpose of the role:
- Parts stock control - manage the booking‑in of parts and consumables, accurately cross‑reference vehicle components, liaise with the stock team to source required items, and carry out regular physical and system stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Workshop parts support - respond to workshop requests promptly, issue parts efficiently, and ensure technicians receive the correct components to keep repair and maintenance work flowing smoothly.
- Administrative coordination - handle email and telephone queries, complete weekly reports, maintain all relevant documentation, and provide organised administrative support to the Parts Manager and workshop teams.
- System accuracy - update all parts and stock systems with precise, timely information, ensuring records are compliant, traceable, and aligned with operational requirements.
- Operational efficiency - prioritise tasks effectively, work to tight deadlines, and support the smooth running of daily workshop operations through proactive parts management.
- Ad‑hoc duties - undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support wider parts and workshop activities.
To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:
- Relevant experience - proven background in a similar parts, stock or workshop support role.
- Automotive sector knowledge - previous experience within the motor industry is desirable and highly beneficial.
- IT proficiency - confident using computers, with solid working knowledge of Excel for stock tracking and reporting.
- Communication skills - clear and professional communication across speaking, reading and writing (essential).
- Numerical & literacy accuracy - strong numeracy and written accuracy to support precise stock management and documentation.
- Passion for the motor industry - committed to delivering high standards of work and taking pride in supporting workshop operations.
- Attention to detail - exceptional accuracy when handling parts, stock records and administrative tasks.
